There's some good bands on, as it goes...if I lived in the same continent I would attend, if only perhaps to see Impaled on the back of The Last Gasp (which is fucking brilliant)

Ryan has stated that it has never been a show for strictly death metal, it is a festival for extreme metal (I think that is what he said). Same reason bands like Anaal Nathrakh and Nuclear Assault are playing.

Either way, the lineup is fucking excellent.

Because, regardless of its name, it's not a (strictly) death metal festival? They've always booked other genres. It's a festival for the best bands in underground/extreme music, and Behold...The Arctopus are one of the best and most talented bands around right now.
