Ok so out of nowhere, me and my bro have decided to go to fricken europe for a weekend to see Testament at Dynamo!! I can't wait!!!
Only thing is, we never went to Holland, nor do we know much about it except of course the red light district in amsterdam and the coffeshops, lol.
Was wondering if some of you guys could help us a bit by giving us any info possible on well anything basicaly, and how to get around over there and especialy from amsterdam to hellendoorn. Sure we can ask when we get there but, it couldn't hurt to have some infos before right.

Bicycles. Lots of bicycles. And mayonnaise on chips (French fries). The beer's nice, everyone I met there was cool. They laughed at us because we could only point at what we wanted to eat - not out of spite, just because they're nice. All in all it was cool.

I didn't go on a train, but the buses were on time.

Hey I am from Holland, you know from AMsterdam to Hellendoorn is about a 2 hour drive, you can either rent a car or arrange public transport, you know public transport is very good here!

Only problem is Hellendoorn is a very small place so you would find it hard to get back late because I bet there's no busses or trains available that late at night, so either you get a hotel in the Hellendoorn area or rent a car, tose would be the best options I guess!

I am really psyched about the show too man!

Hey,

I saw your message today (may 4th), so I think you already left for Amsterdam, but if you read this. The best thing to do is to get a train to Nijverdal, its a few miles from Hellendoorn.

I got this from the festival site

The festival is easily reached by public transport. Special buses will be deployed between Nijverdal train station and the festival site. This service is free upon presentation of your entry ticket.
The last train to Amsterdam leaves on 10.47 in the evening.

So you have to leave right after Jon Oliva and miss Anthrax (they start at 10.40)

haha, you mean 2 hours is far. I go to Waldrock (Strapping Young Lad, Megadeth, Metal Church,...) and for me it's like a 5 hour drive to get there, anyway, I'm sure it'll be worth the road

Well i expected it to be somewhat close to Amsterdam, but no it was at the other end of Holland, lol. Good thing Holland's tiny. But the ride went actualy quite well. Even if the directions were shit when getting close to Hellendoorn. At some point i went to a gas station to ask directions and the girl there could only respond to me in dutch, lmao, ah man that was good times. haha.
