Ok ... it's nearly 4:30am and you are up for whatever godforsakenstupid reason that is keeping you up. :bah: :loco:

What tunes do you put on to keep you awake?

I just discovered that the song Black Sabbath by some old english band sound pretty good in these circumstances...

Put on something LOUD! If you're awake at 4:30 and are unlucky enough to have other people in the house, there's no reason why they should get to sleep if you can't :). Time by Pink Floyd is a good option, just for all the alarm clocks at the beginning.

4:30am to me is an early morning, not a late night - so I'd be listening to something quiet and probably slow while my body awakens... think Testament or The Haunted.

Pain of Salvation. I could listen to that shit 24-7.
I think I have listened to Remedy Lane about 8 times consecutivley without another cd in between!

Blitzy..... If ya like Dream Theater, check out POS. They arnt as proggy as DT, and are more heavy, but have some sweet ass vocal melodies. The singer is an awesome singer, and he was the first choice for Mike Portnoy as geetarist/singer in Transatlantic. POS are currently doing Jesus Christ Superstar... Providing the music for a local stage show. Their music is beautiful. Very moving, a shitload of emotion, but can also be very heavy... both musically and lyrically!

Umm....... A Trace of Blood, Ending Theme, Rope Ends, fandango, beyond the pale, this Heart of Mine, Fandango, or the instrumental Dryad of the Woods area ll excellent songs from Remedy Lane.
From The Perfect Element, grab: Used, In the Flesh, King of Loss , The Perfect Element, Her Voices.

Infact, I had such a hard time reccomending songs from the albums to d/l because both albums are simply stunning!
