OK guys-

I volunteer to help get you over here to the East Coast...I'll drive you around to gigs- I have a mini-van! You can crash at my house in Connecticut (hope you don't mind three friendly dogs- they dig your music too!)

So there you go- travel and lodging is taken care of for some of the trip...

I am a hell of a cook- so I can load you up with some Roberto Italian favorites might slow y'all down a bit on stage but you will be satiated!

So your sustenance is take care of too!

There you have it...I'm sure some other fans around here will do the same - whatever it takes to see Enchant grace our local stages...

Anyway- congrats on the Europe jaunt...hoping there's a way to see you in our neck of the woods some day...

Len Roberto
Enchant Chef and Mini-Van Driver

My crab dip has been known to move worlds... (or was it to cure athletes' foot?) I wouldn't want to compete with another local's cakes, though.

Nice meeting you Saturday night, Mare.. I wish I'd gotten you to snap a pick or two more (including Greg & the guys from Mercury Rising) so I could show them to my girlfriend without making her jealous. Lucy is too cute for me to show that one pic to Dana.. *OOPS!*

Cheers..

PAUL! Hello there! I did NOT know you were MrNOT! :)

Hey it was cool meeting you too! LOL about the pics! I managed to get a number of quite decent ones of Iluvatar believe it or not, so they'll be up on my site this week. Then you can show Dana the concert you saw anyway! :)

I'm sorry, I have been thinking this since Saturday --- she doesn't know any of the Sonata Arctica guys, does she??? I had to ask!!!! :)!!!

I'm always in the market for top-notch crab dip, so hey maybe we can cover two menus....crab dip as an appetizer before, maybe, steak, and the next night crab cakes!!

Cheers!!!

Yes.. It's my secret online identity that I think I've now had so long that everyone knows who I am..

Who, Dana? Nope. She doesn't go any farther into music, as a rule, than Andre Bocelli, Pavarotti, Santana & Pink Floyd, and then there are traditional older gypsy artists from Romania & Romanian pop groups from the 80s.. Other than that, naught..

Sounds like a program. If the Enchant boys aren't drooling yet, there's just no saving them..

Wow that sounds pretty damn tasty!

And we would love to make it back that way when we can!

Len don,t sell the Mini Van we might need it buddy :)

Just keep in mind that if it doesn't happen soon, the (conservatives) that now control the state (and therefore the Dept. of Natural Resources) may have time to completely destroy the ecosystem of the bay, and we'll have to import all our shellfish products, which will totally defeat the purpose.. (then again, even though other parts of the country have crab, it doesn't necessarily follow that they really know what to do with it.. *heh heh*) Maybe I should throw a couple of lbs of backfin into the freezer for posterity?

You got it Ed- I'll rent a Suburban or a Peterbilt if need be to cart you guys and your gear (and full bellies) around the Tri-State area!

I'll drag my grandma over to help me make a big pot of sauce and meatballs and whatever else we can think of to treat you guys right.

On call when you need me...

Toad's Place would be a cool place to play in New Haven- and our local stations can be "persuaded" to play lots of Enchant to promote the gig. I'll have to call my cousins to help me do the persuadin'...

:)

hey Mare and Paul,

I wanted to go to the Iluvatar show, but I already commited to do something with my finances (spelling is correct too :)_) relatives. How were they?? I havent seen them since they did a show with Happy the Man in Towson, and that was pretty long ago. Are they going to release another disc anytime soon? Jeez its been ages without a new disc.

jim

Hey Jim,

You missed a cool gig -- they were great!

I was pretty tired when I got there, having just got in from a 5 1/2 drive home from NYC (saw Spocks Beard there the night before!) but I perked up once the Iluvaguys took the stage. They played two sets to a pretty good crowd - about 100 people, I'd guess (way more than when I saw them in July!) All your favorite Iluvatunes (Eagle, Cracker, New Found Key, Marionette, Haze, Exodus, etc) and 5 songs off their newest CD - '99's release "A Story Two Days Wide". Since they were doing two sets, they also gave us a treat -- I heard the first couple of notes and I hopped off my barstool and gave them a huge Mare-style "Woooooo-Hoooooooooooo".....as I recognized the begininng of Peudo Silk Kimono....Yep! They did the trilogy - with Kayleigh and Lavender Blue. :D I was all over the place and got some sweet shots of them - I'll toss a couple up on my site this week/weekend.

As for new albums, they have an interim release called 'Three Demos' which contains exactly that - and they did one song form that Sat night. I don't know any way to get a copy besides picking one up at a gig ($5), but try emailing them at iluvafans@aol.com and Jim R will get back to ya! :)

Ed,

Tasty??? You betcha!!!! Crab and steak are two of the tastiest meals I can think of! You guys will love it! :) I don't have a minivan, myself, LOL, but I do have a Trooper and seat 5...6 if someone takes the back, LOL!

Paul,

You got it! I always grab a couple pounds of jumbo lump to freeze about this time of year -- nothing like Maryland crab cakes for dinner in the middle of February! :) Mmmm-mmmm good! :)

I saw SB in Sellersville on Thurs. I have never seen them before and they were great. The new CD was excellent live, and I was very, very impressed with Nick's stage persona. Thoughts was very cool live too. Now I am very disappointed that I didnt really get into SB until right after V was released. Neal with SB was probably awesome!!!

Hi Jim,

I never got to see daBeard with Neal live either...only on video. I can only imagine what it was really like to be there - amazing doesn't quite cover it. I am totally prepared to be completely blown away by Neal this Friday!

:D

Hey Paul --- Note, Gibby's Market still has MD Jumbo Lump, Lump, and Backfin available!! Let's stock up! :) The stuff from Louisiana or (yikes!) Venezuela just isn't the same!!!

Cheers!!!!

Yessirree!!!! Neal with the "Morse/Portnoy Extravaganza" this Friday --- ie TOMORROW!!! --- at the Forum Theater in Metuchen, NJ - about a three hour hike up 95/NJ Turnpike from Lutherville, Jim! Let me know if you can make the show - you'd have to get yourself there and back but I can supply a ticket! :D

Hope you can make it - this is supposed to be an incredible show!!! The review of this tour from Europe are nothing short of stunning. I'm prepared to be blown away!

Well, I'd never seen them before, and was only recently turned on to the debut disc, so I don't have much to go by, but they were spot on. Considering the incredibly small room (I'm horrible with numbers, and it was crowded, but I was gonna guess maybe 65 or 70 heads.. I'll defer to Mare there..), the sound and the performance were awesome. I would never have thunk it in good ole Bawlmer in a mill'n years! Prog rock done up right by locals.. Go figure. I didn't get any info on upcoming plans either as I was too busy meeting another couple of new faces from other discussion lists that night.
