editing audio photoshop style?

Much of what I saw in the video can be done in Adobe Audition 3. Pretty much everything except for changing the scale of things and the harmonics detection algorithm.
I find spectral editing way better suited for fixing problems than for mixing or doing creative things. unless you want to do some really strange over the top stuff.

Soundtrack Pro spectral view does most of this stuff.
I mix a lot of film/tv stuff and it's amazing for getting rid of aircon etc noise.
If you have logic studio, open an audio file in STP and select spectrum view.
You can do cool stuff like only showing sounds above a certain threshold etc.

Looks like it implements some cool filters and real time analysis - but nothing new..
Package does look like it's a lot of fun to work with though!

I've loved this for years. Richard D. James is one of the most forward thinking musicians out there.

I hate his trance shit though. Anything around the S/T Richard D. James album absolutely blows my mind every time.

The Tuss is amazing too if you're into Aphex kind of stuff. Rumor has it that it's really RD. James under a pseudonym.... which he tends to do a LOT.
