effects stereo/mono ???

huy ,

i just recently started with some drum mixing
now my question is are there general rules for applying effects to the snare drum hi-hats toms etc.
for example on the snare drum since it's mono in the mix do you apply mono (reverb) effects or stereo

this is my (effects) setup now :
kickdrum mono
hi-hats stereo
snaredrum mono
cymbals stereo
toms mono

correct me if am wrong with this !!!

any help with this would me appreciated

Im confused??? Are you using a different reverb for each drum??? Thats not how to do it, you should be creating a mono send from each channel into a stereo verb, unless you are trying to achieve something I don't know about.

so do you use 1 (stereo) effect on the entire drumkit ?

yes, but I send different levels to effect, sometimes use a small plate reverb on toms also, not all the time though
