Egnater goes Metal: Armageddon

Yeah, I'd been looking for the Rebel 20 too but ultimately decided to go Rev Jr Pro, because it was less of a gamble concerning extreme metal tones.

Anyway, I'd still love to have a Rebel 20 for the blues infused rocker in me, but the Armageddon seems to perform great on many levels.

Can't wait for some concrete specs.

Most amps do cut around those areas, that's what all the capacitors and resistors in between the tubes do.

Hey guys, I double checked and I'm allowed to share information that I was emailed.

To answer your questions, Guitar Guitar will be carrying the amps in the UK. The amp will be released around April/May and I will share how the amp has changed slightly. In the video Bruce Egnater said that the Master Midrange function was going to be at the 400hz frequency that you can boost or cut. Well, he changed it where you select the mid frequency that you want to boost or cut. The other metal amp is very similar called the Vengeance. The Vengeance's Master Midrange Boost/Cut will be set at the 400hz frequency and will not have the Decimator function. Also, you can turn the Master Midrange on for all channels on the Armageddon where as the Vengeance, you can only turn it on the 2 dirty channels. The Vengeance might cost around £1000 and the Armageddon would be around £1350. All prices has been estimated by the pound/dollar conversion rate and the price ratio of 3 Egnater products in US and the UK.

The guy I'm chatting to, Adam, is a fucking legend. I'm already comfortable chatting to him, which is not the usual experience when talking to companies these days!! Really down to earth guy.

Even though I can build my own amps, I'm for sure going to grab one of these.

I like the mid master control. I'm sure it's implemented like the Herbert, but with the added ability to shift it around is pretty cool.
