Hey, I'm not telling you that you should listen to the album. However, it doesn't sound like everything else, thereby meaning that it can't be generic, since that's what that word means.
Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice explores a lot of things in a pretty unique fashion, from the chaotic dissonance, really dynamic songs that focus less on repetition than most other black metal bands, the type of crisp sound and heaviness that isn't common in this kind of music, a unique use of prayer sections and religious choirs compared even to the other "orthodox black metal" bands, instantly recognizable vocal delivery and focus on specific lyrical themes that set them apart from their peers in the level of dedication and fashion which they're written.
Unlike a lot of people, I don't think they're the best band ever, but they definitely don't really sound like every other band out there. I don't care if you don't like the album, but at least make a valid criticism of it when you talk about why you dislike it.
