They also seem to have blatantly stolen Master of Puppets by making it a staple of their live show (I think, all I know is there are a lot of videos on youtube of them playing it).

I can't be bothered to listen to Trivium long enough to figure out what they're stealing. I own Ascendency (bought it to see what the big deal was, $5) and I haven't been able to force myself to listen past the fourth song.
