Electronic drum kit to midi map = tiniest midi hits ever! How do fix?

I finally got a real electronic kit to record with. (Im using the midi out feature to record midi hits instead of the kit sounds themselves). It's all working great except for the midi notes themselves appear to be the tiniest fucking things ever. I have to zoom all the way in to see them and edit them properly. Is there a way to make them look as big as they are when programming drums? i.e. the length of a whole 8th/16th/32nd/64th note?

Assuming you are in cubase select all notes and go to MIDI then function then select fixed lengths this changes the note lenght to whatever the quantize length is set to

Ah my fault, forgot to mention that. Im using the 32bit Studio One (version 1) on Win7. Also of it helps I'm routing them to Steven Slate Drums EX.
