I recently Bought one of the new Roland SPD-SX Sampling units. It replaced an IPod setup to run Backing tracks for second Guitars live.

So all the Tracks are set up like this

Left Channel - Mix of Click Track and Backing tracks
Right Channel - Backing tracks only

The left Channel is obviously sent to Inear Monitors for me and the Right Channel to FOH.

The SPD-SX Has this really usefull Headphone out with its own volume control which mirrors the main stereo outputs. But because i am splitting the outs Left and right I would only hear click track in my left ear.

Does anybody know of a way I could re wire an Extension cable so that I could Take only the left channel and send it to both Left and right Earpieces.

Keep in mind, a small mixer or a few other devices will work, to seperate the channels and send in mono and I am using that at the moment. Im just seeing if its one less thing I could take to gigs!

Thanks

With shared Ground I assume?

Splitting a signal with this method wouldnt cause reduced output would it?

shared ground.
it would cause reduced output since its a headphone output (you loose a bit of volume because of impedance matching issues) but you could still try if it works for you.
