Well I never. While I was...umm...aquiring some music this evening I came across this little gem.

How come no one's mentioned this before? Is it because no one cares?

I've listened to "Wrathchild", "The Trooper" and "Run To The Hills" with the theory that you can't ruin those songs, no matter how hard you try. I've never heard bad versions of those songs. I've heard ordinary ones, but never bad ones. Until now. Oh god. He WHISTLES the first solo in The Trooper. And the second is done on harmonica.

Metal just isn't made to be elektro.

Nah, I can't find any links to samples anywhere. Tomorrow I'll make some samples of the songs I have and post them. At the moment they're high quality rips so they're huge and a) I don't have the space b) people don't download big files.

Yep, that's the reason.

And I have heard Sentenced's version of "The Trooper". While it's not good, they haven't absolutely destroyed the integrity of the song. You can still hear it's a good song.

Listen to these, you'll see what I mean. Koich is lucky. The blood from his ears will muffle the sound.
