Ken,

I'm on an ELP tangent right now and since you are a true fanboy, do you have any recommendations on DVD's?:)

Thanks,

Chris

There isn't any one DVD that I can point to and say that its definitive - there is something "wrong" about all of them. The Works/Manticore Special is great but the quality could have been better. Beyond The Beginning has great archival footage. The main problem is that all the original film negatives seem to be gone so there isn't a perfect DVD of let's say California Jam out there. The old Pictures At An Exhibition DVD from 1970 is amazing but there is always the drawback of the comic book overlays during certain sequences. The Montreux 1997 is perfect quality but the band isn't by then. :) So you have to pick your poison.

Stay away from the 1992 Live at ""The Royal Albert Hall"" the sound quality isnt that clear,,,:)
