YES (the band). Any good? or too cheesy to be taken seriously?

I recently discovered ELP and have read that YES has a lot in common. While ELP has some great stuff, each of the classic records seems to have one really awful, cheesy song which, I think, is an attempt at humour. Anyway, are YES any good? Better than ELP? Similar, or not?

Which YES album is a good starting point?

I don't like Yes too much, but what I've heard of them certainly tops what I've heard of ELP(unless you are talking of EL-P)

Changes is an awesoem song...!!!......thats all I know about them....sorry Im no help...!!.....PEAC EOUT

These are their best discs..... Some of the other discs have good and bad songs but these three are solid...

if you don't like Yes, you pretty much fail.

Close to the Edge is undeniably awesome.

i only listened to topographic oceans and was rather put off by it. it seemed a little too extravagant for its own good. i guess i should try one of the more recommended albums to get into yes.
