Hey'all

I've an ESP Eclipse II and I used to have EMG 60/81 on it. I replaced them with Seymour duncan SH-4 and SH-2n for better clean tones.

I guess there are 25k pots on my Eclipse (I bought it second-hand and I guess the original setup is 25k's). Becos -with seymours- On 0-4 volume setting; there's like no volume at all.. at 4-7 is like half drunk tone and at 7-10 (especially on neck) the loudness is ok but the bass tones are buzzery.

Now I want to buy some pots for passive pickups. I know there are 250k and 500k and even 1m options... I have no idea which one is best for me; for my Eclipse II

You'll probably want 500K pots. 250K pots are mostly used with single coil pickups because single coils are quite bright and the lower the "K" is, the more treble roll off there is. 500K pots are used with humbuckers because they tend to be more bass heavy and don't need as much treble roll off. 1Meg pots would make your humbuckers quite bright sounding.

But yeah, the sound problems you're having now is definitely because you're using the pots that were set up for the EMGs.
