Empyrium

you mean even more aesthetically unappealing than your faded burzum t-shirt, your greasy hair hanging in front of your face as you skulk with your hands stiff at your sides like a gorilla, and walking to your job at blockbuster video looking like a pathetic anti-social knob? you probably stutter in person too. thank god for pre-meditated retorts on the internet, or you might have already hung yourself in your shower from being such a low self esteem train wreck.

I was about to post something very similar...A. Child got crushed

lol selkie is saying that because someone shares an opinion with a christian "standard" such as a distaste for homosexuals, that that person is religious themself? what a load of bullshit.

i don't steal, the bible ALSO says not to steal. does that make me a religious christian? ftlog.

another complete load of bullshit. i'm not on AC's side, but since when did NFU resort to (probably) inaccurate assumptions and personal attacks?

it's pretty obvious why you're sticking up for homos, joey.

Another musical topic thrown out the window because of some diatribe about homosexuality and associated cultural problems. And all cloaked in "sincere" rhetoric. Your all on a slippery slope, so get back to the fuckin' topic. "Kveldssanger" is my most cherished 35 minutes of acoustic music. It's simplicity is it's beauty.

I think it pales in comparison to Empyrium's stuff, just because it sounds so under-developed. They sound more like dabblers than Empyrium, I guess. I still like it, it's just not as good as some bands that are more serious about it (like Tenhi and Empyrium).

Oh, and this is rather irrelevant, but I think the cover art on Kveldssanger is some of the best ever :erk:

Empyrium = :kickass:

Most people compare them to Ulver but, IMO, Empyrium are superior. Mostly because of Songs of moors and misty fields. But I never been a fan of Ulver at the first place so...

Where at night the wood grouse plays is an achievement! Perfect atmosphere for this time of the year, so is Weiland.

Speaking of Empyrium, anyone heard Noekk? Former members of Empyrium.

Yeah, I heard a few songs. I'm not too crazy about them...

Noekk? well, there are at the opposite of what Empyrium were doing. More proggy and dark. It's not a band to listen with only 1 or 2 songs. I own The Watersprite and let me say thta it's definately a grower.

I love Ulver, but I'd have to say that Empyrium's stuff (like wankerness said) seems more developed than Kveldssanger. Not to discredit the album, I fucking love it, but even Ulver themselves (or at least Garm) say it was an amateur release.

and where at night the wood grouse plays is awesome, probably my fav empyrium album.

That's exactly what I wanted to say :cool:

There's something in Ulver's music that is missing, at least, for me!
