check out my newest mix. the band`s called "taken from none", my drummer and 3 weird other guys :)

the blackmore sounds great live through the engl v30 cab, but I knew, that it would be too harsh for this kind of sound, but nobody helped me carry my marshall with G12-65s. fuck it. would`ve been fuckin creamy.

I love the bass sound. Amp was a bad ass Hughes & Kettner, 2 mics, 1 DI.

I used a tbone RIBBON 500 something as a mono drum room mic, placed it over the drummers shoulder..., pretty badass.

snare is a black panther sm57 on top, sampled the bottom cus I don`t have enough inputs :).

I could post samples and pics from the whole session if you like

song with distorted vocals(overdriven SPL goldmike):

cool! thanks for the reply!

updated version: www.dargolf.de/fel/TFN/1_bona.mp3

the band complained about the drums. "they sound too much like metal...", lol, I wonder why :). sorda fixed that in this version...
(ps: I got a nice sample of a bonamassa snare. I put it in this version like 30%)

I don't remember how the former drums sounded but they sound great in this new clip.

So i recognized the Blackmore in the #3 clip, but how about this "1-bona" clip ? Blackmore also ? Sounds very good as well.

yeah, every song/part is just the blackmore. for the solo he used some kind of dist. pedal, marshall something...
too bad he only had crappy guitars and I hate when people wanna record with their strat, I fuckin hate the sound of a strat (except you can play really good :)

thought I`d post some pics

aluminium foil from a beer bottle works great for electrical isolation :)
