ENGL SAVAGE 120 settings ?

One buddy in my band just received his brand new Savage 120. He uses an LTD EC-1000 loaded with EMG 81s.
It seems there are tons of possible settings with the beast ! Do you have an idea of settings "to begin with" ?
He regularely uses an OD-808, he seems to like it with the crunch channel for the moment.

I haven't personally played the 120, but the SE. I'd suggest channel 4 without the tubescreamer personally. Those amps are pretty tight on their own!

As Joe writes. Use the Lead channel for rhythm. It's really thick on its own.
Put Gain 1 on max and gain 2 on 12 o clock and you will have the fattest guitar sound out there.

Hehe, whatever works for him, bought I bought a Savage specifically so you DON'T have to run an OD pedal in front....that thing has sooo many stages of gain, its evil!!!

As with any amp, just set everything to 12 o'clock and start adjusting each knob to taste from there

+1. That's what it's all about. I usually have all EQ knobs around 12 o clock.
