ENGL w/Cab Impulse *Guttural GROOVE*

Why are you guys fussing about not using the cab at all?? I always record with sound coming out of my cab. It just sounds so much better to me, more direct, no latency and you don't have to commit to impulses until mixdown.

Just turn the master way down so that it's really quiet ...

CJ: That sounds really cool ... now I want to tune down my guitar from Drop C again ...

Thanks bro! Ollllld thread. I agree with smy1, I can still hear the sound out of my cab, and I usually just turn the amp on to very, very low. Most for monitoring, as was said.

Don't stress it! Put your amp as low as the volume will go and roll with it!

Manual says you must use a shielded cable, output is +10 dBV

Now I must commit that I dunno if those instrument cables are shielded or not (but as I remember they are, spec. speaker-cables are not...but I really don´t know for sure)

Well, I tried it and it worked within minutes.
Pre-Amp Out -> Instrument Cable -> Soundcard In. The Post-Gain-Knob -affects- the pre-amp out, so you have to turn in up to get a louder signal.
I´ve put it around 3 and got a real sweet tone!
