I updated my profile with my current email address. The hotmail one still works too. It's usually full of junk mail though.
The reason I didn't update my profile with this address sooner is that I had initially planned to cancel aol after my free trial. I probably would have went back to my old isp but when I called to cancel aol they offered me two additional free months. I couldn't argue with that.
Now my wife's taking a class online so we'll be sticking with this service for a while at least. And besides, as cheap as I can be sometimes, even I feel that after 3 months of free internet I have to at least pay them for a couple of months.

That's a huge help, now let's hope I can fix it. lol You have no idea how hard it is to get any kind of helpful feedback... most reviews on the homerecording sites get about as in depth as "it's pretty good" or "it sucks"... hey, either way is fine, but if I don't know which is which, then it's hard to fix it. Obviously anyone who posts something thinks it's pretty fair or they wouldnt have posted it... which means pointing out exactly which parts are the most problematic is very helpful! I'm in your debt.

As far as the Holy Diver solo... I dunno if it'd be right to do something like that to Viv. lol

EC. All I have is the Karaoke track mix that you posted. What I wanted to have is the drum track and maybe the bass track so I could jam along with it. The guitar track that is currently mixed in with it seems to be off in spots.

I don't know what's going on. It was there. Before I posted here I logged out and logged back in and it was there. Now it's gone again.

I'm also having trouble logging on here today. It keeps saying I need to register. That's crazy.

Well I don't know what to do about posting that song then. I post it, then it's gone. Crap. I don't know at this point if I should even bother trying again. I guess that it's a long shot that someone could be messing with me. It's probably just not being put in the folder like it shows for some reason.

Don't feel bad. I have the same problem. I've had to upload a couple songs 3 or 4 times before it took. Don't know why.

...of course, its probably much easier for me to keep trying, as I have a DSL connection...I can't imagine the pain you go through with your connection...

1. Hella good job on the guitar solo.
2. Hella great tone on the 'acoustic' parts. What are you using there? Clean electric sound? I love the tone you are getting.
3. Good playing on the Rhythm guitar - but the tone is not quite there. Its a little 'wimpy' compared to the original. I would love to learn how Metallica gets that whole 'wall of guitar' sound on thier rhythm stuff.

I copied some early Dream Theatre tracks that I really dig in MY myplay locker (rabies@burn.com). Check it out when you get a chance. The password is the same that you are using for your account.

1. Thanks. I was pretty happy with it except for my tone, and there's one note that I wish I hadn't hit the wah the way I did but... that's how I am.

2. I really like the clean tone I got too. It's my acoustic split left and right with a little bit of chorus.

3. I know. I tried to get a monster tone but it was hard. I even double tracked everything but it still isn't that huge sounding. If I hadn't gone direct and actually mic'ed up the amp that probably would have helped some.

Overall I think it's a pretty good Karaoke though.

Rabies: I checked out Pull Me Under. I'm starting to like this band.
Even the cd I have has started to grow on me. Well, I still feel a little violent when he sings in that one voice, but otherwise the playing is incredible in spots.
