Ep test mix needs feedback! (Slate Drums, Podfarm, Sturgis, BFD2)

Just a 30 second clip of the an opening riff to one of the tunes on my demo im "abit repetitive but its the only part finished so far lol". I know some of you will say that the sound has been done before but i feel that sturg tact is the only way to go for the genre. No vocals yet but they will come hopefully soon.

doesn't sound bad man.. but the china and cymbals in general sound pretty fakeish.. even when using samples for drums you should always use real cymbals, and stereo mic them. makes it sound a ton fuller imo.

im looking into buying a midi controller hoping that the velocity from human playing makes it sound real enough however theres a good chance the end product will have real drums, the fake cymbals are really just there to get the drum parts written.

Any feedback on the rest of the mix would rock!

i think the kick could use a tad more low punch.. try boosting around 80hz slightly.
