eq matching with firium

hey guys, I've tried that eq matching option of firium on a guitar track i'm working.. I've used the song "damage control" of john petrucci solo album as source.. aside the fact it's a raw mix, do you think the tone has improved at all?

you'll have to compensate for volume lost in 'after' so we can hear it

I would try to make the 'before' sound as close to the 'after' as possible. Other than that, it seems to me 'after' does sound better.

okay, thanks for the feedback, i'll compensate for volume lost and try some tips i've read on ilovemetal.co.uk. i'll post here if it gets any better

I think "after" killed the balance. I'd try to improve the mix.

i was more worried about the tone itself and forgot all about the balance before doing this sample lol don't mind about the mix, the guitars are really behind everything else
