This might be a very dumb question, but when you guys EQ, say for example rythm guitars which are dubbed and panned hard right/left, do you send both tracks to a stem track and EQ them both at the same time, or do you eq one guitar solo'd and then just copy the EQ to the other track? Are there even any differences? I've been doing the latter as long as I can remember, but i realized just now that might be pretty dumb, eheh.

Oh well, you're never getting anywhere without asking. How do you guys do?

can see the benefit of EQing on busses and the 2 buss in terms of keeping phase good, especially in the low end.

tons of big names will slam like 10db of bass on the 2 buss rather than through individual tracks because of that.

I usually prefer the sound of shelves when i can and use peak filters when I have to.

no rules though, just do what feels/sounds right.
