EQUIPMENT: Looking for a new guitar!

Hey guys,

I've been looking a for a new electric guitar, either a 6-string or a 7-string. Not sure which to get really, I'm pretty lost at the moment. Just looking for some opinions. Right now im on a budget of about 350ish. Hopefully you guys could help me out and give me some great opinions.

LTD EC1000s are great guitars, especially if you slap some aftermarket p'ups in it. LTDs are generally solid products. For around your budget you could probably pick up a decent Schecter or Ibanez. I personally just bought an Agile 'Pendulum 72527' 7-string multiscale. Your choices mainly depend on what you want to do with this guitar and budget.

Wow that EC1000 is a sick looking guitar.

I know 350 is a pretty low budget for a guitar. I just need to sell a few things I have lying around. I've had this PODxt live and never even used it live. I only messed around with it like 4 times at home. It's brand new, hopefully I can get some money out of that and spend more on a guitar.


I've been really into 7-strings. Here's what I've been looking at lately:
Schecter Omen 7 7-String
Schecter Omen Extreme
ESP LTD SC207 Stephen Carpenter 7
Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7

I think it'd be worth it to save up a bit more and get what you really want.
