when I turn on my computer at home it sounds like it's firing up, and then starts beeping. over and over. and the monitor isn't getting any signal. any ideas?

try unseating and reseating your RAM - it's having some sort of error when trying to POST (power-on-self-test)

Have you made any hardware changes recently? you can also just go through and reseat all the expansion cards as well (video, sound card) and try doing the same for power connections

no but it's been moved twice (and hasn't been used) in a month

thanks dude, will do

although...it DID work when I turned it on after setting it up about a week ago....then I didn't use it at all...then I tried turning it on on Saturday and this happened. I'll give all that a shot though.

well it was only frozen when we put it in there. but the deal was, it was so pumped full of preservatives that nothing happened to it. It just emitted a sort of musty odor and when we opened the case, it was like the anticipation of Carter opening the tomb of Tut, and then a total letdown that there wasn't a fuzzy mass of goo in there.
