Hey Metal Heads I'm new to this site, been into Metal for 35 years and Bassist for 32 years. So does anyone own or have any opinions on the ESP LTD F415 5-string Bass? I got my brand new one 4 months ago and it being a neck-thru 35" scale Bass with active EMG 40DC humbuckers and active EMG B-64 3-band EQ this Bass is frickin awesome! I A/B tested it with a Spector NS 5XL USA Bass on a Mesa Boogie Strategy 8:88 all tube amp head into 2- 4x10 stack and these 2 Basses played and sounded incredibly the same way,accept I got my ESP F415 for $899.00 with hard case new, retail $1,300 and the Spector $2,800 I like the fact the my F415 has a mid boost/cut and the neck 40DC is closer to the neck then the Spector. I think I made out pretty good on this wicked Bass.
