Establishing your studio work as a business?

I opened my own legit Studio last Novermber (on paper, Been here since Sept though physically).....

1. I have not put a single penny in my pocket since I moved in.
2. I work close to 80+ hours every week keeping the place making enough money to sustain itself.
3. You deal with assholes tryin gto not pay you and have you work on "points" daily.
4. If your recordings arent better then the kid down the street with am MBox and Fruity Loops don't even consider it.
5. If you dont have friends in the local music community to help you sustain your business till you start getting label work, your fucked.

Things to make it LEGIT:
Business License in your state
TaxID (you have to pay taxes on everything you make)
Accountant (on retainer keeping your shit straight = few hundred a month)
Insurance
Rent
Electricity
Internet
Phone
Local fire marshall inspections (free but if your not up to snuff expect to pay hundreds to get up to code)
Local FDA inspections if you have vending machines (free but if your not up to snuff expect to pay hundreds to get up to code)
Gear maintenance, stands cables, guitar strings, tubes, speaker reconing.
Building maintenance Heat / AC maintenance, Light Bulbs, Cleaning Supplies.
Office supplies, paper, printer ink, pens, sharpies

Ok that should just about cover it ....... and you havent even upgraded your gear yet .....
