European Concerts db Regulation

Does anyone know where I can find the values of authorized volume for concerts throughout European countries?

There is definitely one in France, 105db, not sure about other countries (I know UK doesn't have any that why I've seen gigs at 120-123 db there), that's why I'm trying to find out.

If there is a Festival with Slayer you have no problem: They'll be the only band who use the whole audio system and will force all the other bands in the bill to use an half + a dB limitation

My buddy did FOH the last European Himsa tour, and I remember him saying that in Switzerland (I believe it was Switzerland) there was some ridiculously low limit, like 85 or 90dB!

It's 85 dB RMS in Finland, but I'm not sure about peaks. Last I heard it was 105 dB for peaks.

It's also impossible to reach, because most of the time the crowd is around 100 dB RMS

haha yeah man, last time i saw Dream Theater back in 2003 for the 6DOIT tour, we were sat right behind the desk and there was a sound level meter there.

was peaking at 128db!!!!

In Germany:

Peaks are allowed up to max. 125db, on average it should be around 100db.

I saw Sunno))) crank out around to 120/125, which was the loudest i ever witnessed.

I think every venue has it own rules, the local venue I work time to time as a live mixer has a peak limit of 105db. (I live in Holland by the way)

I'm in the Netherlands as well; I think I read somewhere that 112 dB is the max for peaks and normal volume about 105 dBs is appropriate for most venues, indeed it may differ per venue, according to which venue follows the rules I guess..

lol.. i've seen motorhead perform once, no doubt the loudest live show i have ever heard.. that being said, it sounded like crap... good to hear there is a limit.
