Ever see geese flying south for the winter?

Saw some a few weeks ago, and then today heard a bunch right above me, but the trees rendered me unable to see them by the time I ran outside. I really like seeing and hearing this each year.

Actually now that I think of it, I think these were flying north/northeast. Maybe the California weather is throwing them off. Poor fuckers.
