Evergrey acoustic show

This was amazing, great to see the Swedes again. Hearing them play 'wasted years' and 'a touch of blessing' was worth the price alone. Can't wait for their show tomorrow.

Evergrey was fantastic! They played a bunch of songs that suprised me (Blinded, As I Lie Here Bleeding, ect). My only qualm was the "chatty kathys" in back that were talking during the entire set. What were you doing there? We have all day/night to talk and congregate but only 45min to wach a "exclusive" show. Couldn't the conversation wait? why did you buy a ticket if you weren't going to watch? Maybe someone else that would have appreciated it could have had your ticket. Ok im done bitching I just thought it was rude.

There was no "bass dub". It was a "drum box" that Hannes was playing.
I was up front so there was no issues with people talking, everyone singing and cheering.
The entire night was a great experience for the Wife and I(except the fact that someone stole my wife's Evergrey shirt she had just bought(grrr) Luckily they had another XL. So $50 for 1 shirt basically(ouch!)). All the guys from Evergrey were great to talk to as well as all the guys from Mob Rules! We got some great pics with the bands too. Soo looking forward to the show tonight!

This. It sucks that there were people further back just talking over the music, but the energy up front was awesome. I'm really glad they ended up playing "A Touch Of Blessing" after apparently not planning to, because it sounded phenomenal.

I think everyone up front knew the lyrics to every song, including Wasted Years, of course Marcus' solo during it was awesome.

It would have been difficult to pull off a "bass dub" with a loose show like that. The drum box was very versatile and really fit the set. Just an amazing show... What a warm-up.

So I wasn't hearing a bass as in a bass guitar? I know there wasn't a bass player (der) but it sounded like there was bass being added on

No bass guitar at all. Hitting the center of the drum box kind of sounds like a bass drum, though.

I don't know where I saw the post, but I TOO would pay hard cash for a CD of the entire Evergrey acoustic set. And, it would be in extra high rotation on my internet radio stream. Hats off to an excellent and near (if not entirely) flawless performance. Great artistry - barnone. PROG ON!

Regarding artistry, Rikard's reinterpretation of so many of the 'heavy parts' was truly remarkable. He had the toughest job that night.
