Everygrey style

Could you Evergrey maniacs describe this dark style of metal to me. I listened to some clips on Amazon...I have to say I was interested!! Are their instrumental passages....very proggy???!!!! JUST GIVE ME SOME COOL FACTS ABOUT THIS BAND!!! Thanks.

I would not say proggy. Too many people classify Evergrey as a "prog" metal band. Their music has keyboards, which creages a dark atmosphere and heavy guitars. There is some technical guitar work but it is not the whole of the band.

There are instrumental passages with some great melodies and dark feelings in them. Check Evergrey out.

Well, I call Evergrey's style some mixure between heavy, progressive and power.
Very unique.

very power/progressive metal. as immortal said. there aren't many crazy time changes unlike a real prog band like dream theater. so i'd say power metal. but whoever the hell cares, they're awesome!
