Hell no, I had to get out after two songs because I kept getting punched in my kidney

And that is why I stayed away from the pit. As much as I like being up front at shows there are certain ones I would rather find a nice area where I can just stand and enjoy the show without feeling like a ping pong ball or smushed to the front of the stage or security pit and this was one of them. :)

Those new songs are alright. Definitely not as great as the older Death
Angel music.
I agree, I got a bit the feeling that I was listening to AC/DC-metal. Still it sounded really cool.
But yeah, heh, it's still interresting to see what they've got after all those years..

mmmm well i listened both and thicker than blood its a cool song, simple and direct but thrown down the wolves is awesome pure bay area thrash, seems like this new cd is less funkie than act3, with those 2 song im gonna buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The songs weren't horrible or anything but they sounded way different
than I expected from Death Angel. It seems like they dont put any balls into
the new songs. Sounds like they made some AC/DC pop metal. Er. Shrug.

One heck of a trip I will never forget and have a ton of pictures of 4 days of non stop fun. Time for me to finally get some sleep. :)

Metalmaiden, you still have my email address? I knew you would be there with your camera....care to share? I would love to see them when you get the chance.

Who and what's that song following Thicker than Blood? It's fucking killer, and it sounds as if I've heard this before, but can't place it...
I haven't listened to the webcast for a couple of days but if I remember right it's Onslaught's "Power Play".

I do remember hearing that song at the show. Onslaught's In Search Of Sanity is a very cool disc! Too bad it was the band's first and last disc with Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper) on vocals.

Edit: I just checked the webcast and it is "Power Play". :headbang:

Onslaught -- POWER, POWER, POWER, POWER FROM HELL!!!!

Holy Shit, I forgot about this band!! I remember when I joined the service a dude just got it on tape, I dubbed it and played the shit out of it until I destroyed it in a truck wreck a decade later, along with a bunch of other cool old metal tapes:erk:
I know I've heard this third one, too -- means I get to spend more $ looking for these...

That disc kicks ass! I have the original! I love it!
Welcome to Dying is my favorite!

Thanks to TL for my Cd Release T-SHIRT!

I'd pull a Pyrus with the metal tourettes on my dial up. I'd love to see this, but it would buffer forfuckingever. I'm sure some of it's got to be on their DVD later this year. :)
