Just got this expansion the other day and literally slapped them into this mix with only a few volume tweaks and they sound like this. Pretty awesome. One thing I've struggled with when recording solo stuff with drum samples, is making a blast beat sound legit. I always feel like even when messing with velocity and "humanize" settings it still sounds robotic. Any tips would be great. Anyways, here's this:

my advice would be to use MIDI grooves as a starting point and edit those to what you need

My biggest advice is pulling up drum tutorials (not programming, but actual drummers). Watch their hands, listen to accents. A lot of non top-to-bottom drum fills are made out of patterns traditional snare pattern variations.
