As some of you may remember I got screwed on a Mesa cab a few years back. Then I bought a Groove Tubes Brick for 350 that had intermittent distortion problems. Now, I sell the same Brick CLEARLY STATING IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT IT HAS A HISTORY OF MALFUNCTIONING, and the buyer has filed a claim stating that the item was dead on arrival. Okay, that's fine, maybe it got damaged in shipping... but here's his quote.

"It was dead on arrival and despite a description that says it worked for him, seller knew it didn't work."

WHAT

THE

FUCK

!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Some people seriously need to be sterilized - and also, I was gonna start a thread myself bitching about ebay, though in my case because they now don't allow seller's to accept money orders as payment, and if you mention it in your item description, they delete the listing! FUCK paypal fees...

Oh I can't even begin to count the amount of awesome bargains I've gotten on ebay (and the amount of stuff I sold, I have a feedback rating of 118) - still, the new policies are pissing me off more and more! (really they only fuck over sellers)

That's why you put in an image rather than plain text so they don't pick it up.

They did that to me so I made this picture and haven't been pulled up on it since!

Dude, call paypal ASAP and talk to a person there about it - make sure they know that the description mention the item had a problem. Take a screenshot of your listing and save it for your records.

Calling them is the BEST WAY to solve problems. I had an issue with a guy, where they actually gave his money back, but then when I called and talked to someone, they decided in my favor and I got the money back. It took like 2 months for the whole thing, but I got it worked out in the end. Communicating via email etc does nothing with paypal.

stand by your story man, dont give him his money back, if its clearly stated in your ebay advert then its his problem for not reading everything, not yours.

and you are not obliged to give him a refund as far as i know unless your "ebay business" ethics state that you will.

or disconnect your account and disappear from your bank for a while if they start moaning even more

I dunno dudes, I loves me some paypal. Not the fees, but I don't trust cash, bank/cashiers checks, money orders, whatever. That shit's stone ages and easy to forge. Might as well deal in fur. Plus, paypal weeds out people that can't hold a bank account, which sometimes equates to other problems, which lead to bad deals. No offense to someone reading this that can't hold a bank account of course

but yeah, that sucks you stated your case and he's trying to get you on it. not cool.

Postal MO are difficult to forge, and doing so is a HUGE federal offense. Definitley not worth it, especially since its fairly easy to check and be 100% sure its genuine.

With paypal its way too easy to fuck over the seller. "Oh I never got it! *instant refund*"

OK, maybe not that easy to forge.

I've not had that particular fuck-over myself; but if you used a method of shipping with tracking and someone signed for it; it's pretty obvious it arrived. Maybe that doesn't matter, I don't know. Any big ticket items, I make 'em sign for it via FedEx.
