Saturn was released a couple days ago.
Some of the amp models sound like they can be usable for DI guitars, but no ability to use IRs as far as I could tell.
Regardless of how it will work for guitars I can see a lot of potential usefulness from this plug.

After messing round with Saturn for a while I've discovered you can use it as a cabinet, obviously you can only get 1 mic position which is a bit crap but I've done an A/B with IR's and Saturn.

Here is the setting I used - http://db.tt/5AdFBmBZ

Rose of Sharyn (DI Pack on the forum) with;

- IR's in LAConvolver - http://db.tt/INjux6Vc
- Saturn as a cab - http://db.tt/5wvdKK7o or http://db.tt/GJdrwfcw (2nd link I tried to add more bass to the guitars, round them a bit)

In comparison the IR's that I used have tighter low end I guess, I do like Saturn as a cab though it sounds super nice on the cleans but using it on 4 tracks for rhythms just sounds crispy to me.

Sorry if my mixing is poor, it's 4/5am and I am half asleep!

this plug is a saturation/distortion fucking MADHOUSE. there are SO MANY cool things you can do with this plug.... it's not really marketed as a GTR sim but could be used as such...

I haven't had a chance to demo it yet but from the demo video I saw, I was instantly sold not only on it's SOUND, but it's versatility, beautiful and intuitive GUI and IMMENSE features.

Very similar to Decapitator in what it does but it goes MUCH, MUCH further than that...

It's ok, I wouldn't call it amazing. It worked ok as a cab, quite mediocre compared to IR's. I tried out the saturation/distortion and it just sounded fizzy.

Have a try though it's free for a month.
