While I recognize that what was being presented was sad, it didn't really affect me. I have serious difficulty empathizing with other people for some reason (though strangely, not with fictional people in books and movies).

I wasn't sad for the dude...I was sad for the dog. Well, I guess I felt bad for him because I know what it's like but having to have a dog that you love put down is heart-wrenching.
