This is a clip of my mates band that i'm working on. Im pretty happy with how its come out so far, but could always use improvement.

Nice man. Hey im not listening on my monitors but maybe you need to add some verb or delay on those vocals. They've got no depth or space. Nice work tho

How did you eq/compress the kick? sounds awesome

thanks for the input guys, il have to look at the guitar tone, might have wiped a lil too much highs out of it, was going for a darker tone, maybe just got too dark lol.

there is bass there, il look at its level.

I'm out on site till the weekend now, but i'l look into them both, and dig out the details on the kick for you spastikos. It is a mix of SD2 and a few of the slate ones, all processing done in reaper.

listening on my monitors, the guitars are WAYYYYYYY up front, and the vocals are drowned. maybe compress em a teeny bit and add some delay and/or reverb. also, the kick feels a little soft. might wanna bring a little click into it.i really like the snare, however, sounds great, and the cymbals are bang-on.

Alright some details for those who asked:

KICK:
Metal Foundry Tomas Haake Custom SQ2 and
Slate Trigger - Slatekickz3, slatekick ssdr, kick 10z1, kick15z1, pantykick z1

The MF Kick has a fair bit of low mid scooping and a boost around 1.6k and 5k and compression, all done in reaper.

The Trigger kick has no eq or compression.

The combined kick has a high pass filter around 40hz, more low mid scooping. and compression again. Compresser is just khaerjus classic compressor. then into gclip.

SNARE:
SD2 Ludwig Black Beauty and
Slate Trigger - snare11 ssdr, snare 22z1, snare 11z1, tommysnare z3, tommysnare ssdr

The sd2 snare has small boosts around 1.2k, 2.5k and 6k. then compressed

The trigger snare has no eq or compression.

The combined snare has a cut around the low mid area with a gentle high shelf. Then into gclip.
