As there are no TS-sims for Mac, would an EQ like this simulate the response of a TS? (Low cut at 700Hz and High cut at 5000Hz)

Will be loaded in front of the actual amp sim for boosting input gain as well as cutting lows.

An EQ alone isn't going to come close to emulating the sound of a TS.
The sound of a TS is a lot more than just its EQ curve.
Pretty sure POD Farm works on Macs, just use that for a TS simulation

Yeah, the POD Farm tubescreamer works alright.

There's also de ReValver tubescreamer.

Guitar Rig too.

Probably Amplitube too.

Hell, I think Logic and GarageBand come with a bult-in tubescreamer sim.

I have one but I have not released it yet. As TSE and Ignite Amps have already released great tube screamer sims for windows, I don't think I'm gonna release it... It would be worthless...

I have it in VST format for Mac at the moment (about 90% finished). But to be honest, I am keeping it for something else...

a TS sim is a useful tool. But on the other hand sometimes you don't want everything the TS is doing, sometimes just a bit of HP-LP and a little mid boost is all you need.
