Any news about Fates Warning???????????
Damn, this band so fucking rules!!! Why are they so unknown among metal headz????????

Please, any news about Savatage too????

Falows

Fates is one of thoes bands I just can't "get into" no matter how hard I want to. I still give their albums an ocasional listen hoping something clicks, When I go to the record stores I still browse their stuff, and if they came into town I would probably go see them. I guess they are a "love em or hate em" type band.

I just listened to their 1998 double live "Still Life" earlier today. One of the all-time greats of prog-metal. They should be releasing a long-overdue studio album later this year. Next month they are releasing a DVD retrospective called "The View From Here".

about Savatage BTW....

SAVATAGE are in the final stages of pre-production for their new album and are tentatively due to enter the studio during the next few weeks to begin recording the effort for a fall release.

Good news indeed. SAVATAGE \m/

The Fall of what year???

I wonder who Blabbermouths source was for that...

Too funny!

Yes!!

A new disc from Fates Warning is something Im really looking forward to. I also hear there is a couple of DVD's coming out... A live concert from the Disconnected tour and also a documentary of the band..

Also I'm eagerly awaiting the release of OSI. Matheos' side band with some great musicians!! It's only downfall is Mike ( educated beyond my intelligence ) Portnoy playing drums... But I'll buy it anyway.

As for Savatage... I hope their new one is better than Poets and Madmen. I REALLY did not like that disc.

Tight; there is too much great stuff out there these days to make a statement like that. Maybe that would have held true 10 years ago or so, but there are so many quality bands out there that put out some amazing stuff. Maybe a bad Savatage album is better than 50% of the other stuff; but I think 90% is taking it "a bit too far.", Mo

I heard their stuff once. It was pretty good, but it didnt excite me as much as I imagined it was going to. I guess hyping about bands gives me a high impression of them that I shouldnt have at times. Yet they are still pretty good none the less. I think I listened to..."the Spectre...within"? or something like that???
