Good eye on the Thanatos album man, that's an awesome piece.
It could maaybe be the battle of Moria if we are to believe the warrior is a dwarf. Not sure what the winged creature is supposed to be lord of the rings wise, but I guess it could work since there are mentioned to be dark unknown creatures in the deep places of the world. You could say this was the fall of Moria, sure. But helm's deep? Noway.
Cheers to Moorcock, fuck Sapkowski.EDIT: Good to see another Moorcock fan, Elric.

Yeah, Sapkowski is a pathetic, plagiarizing hack, the only thing more poorly written and unoriginal than his books are the dreck video games they inspired. I feel horrible for an author as brilliant as Moorcock that he got screwed so badly on that. When I read the words "Conjunction of Spheres" in one of the Witcher novels, I just threw it against the wall.

Or, speaking of your screen name, any of the Elder Scrolls games as well. Couldn't agree more. The Glitcher can rot in hell.Ugh, tell me about it. As far as RPGs go, I'll take Gothic, Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights, etc. over the Witcher games. At least they don't have to rely on T&A to sell copies.
