Piece of Time. I never really had any interest in Atheist after their debut.

Difficult. For me, all of them are excellent in their own. But maybe I´d choose "Piece of time" because it´s their first one and Roger Patterson was still alive.

Anyway, their "less good" would be rated 8,5/10 for me.

I like all the Atheist albums, but I think "Unquestionable presence" is the best. I think they just kind of nailed it on that one, it´s very advanced musically and technically, but still a very headbangable album. "Piece of time" is also excellent and more accessible than UP. I also like "Elements", even though the jazz-fusion experimentations are sometimes a bit over the top for my taste.
