Oh man, there are so many awesome bass runs...
I guess maybe The Drapery Falls??? And I agree, Mendez is a PHENOMENAL bass player, so it'd be nice if people would stop calling him "the bass player"
Does anyone here actually still do that? Didn't all those guys leave or get banned?

the 'bass player' is one of the better ones around actually. and besides i like the slap bassline in bwp alot

blackwater park towards the end is phenomenal. love the looping bassline in the start of drapery. end of grand conjuration is mind boggling.

What about all the slapping in "In Mist She Was Standing"? There was like a full minute of slap.

I think ther's some slap bass in the grand conjuration aswell. Anyone no any other Opeth songs with good slap bass lines in them?
I always wondered what that sound in BwP was.. So its a slap

The slaps Defarfalla does toward the end of that song is amazing. Better than Mendez in Blackwater Park imo.
