Favorite Exodus vocalist

Your pretentious use of quote marks around the word singing says it all. What they are doing without question falls under the phylum of singing, it's generally guttural and abrasive nature, and various departures from conventional vocals doesn't change that.

... you calling others pretentious. lol dear gods.

Your failure to understand the difference between a good frontman/vocalist and an actual good singer says it all, but im not going to bother. This is something that would be argued amongst newbies ... so ill just go ahead and step away from this one.

Returning to the thread question, it's no one else but Paul for me. I never was a fan of Zetro in Exodus, though his singing on the Legacy demo was absolutely great. Dukes vocals were fitting, but that guy is just as unlikeable as possible in my book. Pauls vocals had the perfect dose of insanity and aggression to fit in that early Extreme Metal.

You're kidding right? Vocalist and singer are synonyms, there is no difference between being a "vocalist" and "singer" except for vocalist usually more specifically refers to jazz/pop groups, but nowhere near always. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screaming_(music)

oh wow. You must really be soft in the head. Which part of VOCALIST=/=GOOD SINGER are you having trouble understanding? Or did you really think i was having an argument as ridiculous as what you seem to be pushing? I'm not 15 years old bro, so please keep your little elementary arguments(SINGERS USE VOCALS!! lmao) away from me.

If you could explain the differentiation you're making between vocalists and good singers further, I'd be interested.

Anders Friden is a vocalist, but not a good singer. Also I don't know how you could say i.e. Frank Mullen is the singer of Suffocation, that sounds just funny as he never sang any word throughout his entire career.

Fuck, best thrash vocalists is a hard one.

Besides the greats already mentioned I've always loved Dave Hewson and Terry Sadler from Slaughter, especially the whole two vocalists thing. Some others that rule are Chris Bailey from Infernal Majesty, Mo from Onslaught, Bruce Corbitt from Rigor Mortis, Blaine from The Accused, Mem Von Stein from Exumer, Milo from Deathrow, Gerre from Tankard, Rob Urbinati from Sacrifice!

Dave Mustaine ftw!

What would you think about Tommy Angelripper? He's got a hell of a voice.
Agreed.

And honestly the less melodic a thrash vocalist is, the better for me. Again, I don't usually like thrash, but I want my thrash vocalists to sound like goddamn insane banshees... like they're warped in the head.
