Actually, I can't. I honestly like just about all of them the same. I can say a lot of work went into them all.
I try to employee the David Gilmour approach - that being, make it fit the song. I do occasionally try to "show off", but for the most part, I consider my playing to be tasteful and appropriate. So keeping that in mind, all of the solos were written to get "max value" out of the notes and make it take the listener on the "best" journey possible while considering what the rest of the band was doing.
So I guess I kind of answered your "why" question, though I didn't give a favorite solo...

I had to think about this one myself. I didn't have an honest answer until after last night's practice. My favorite is the main guitar solo of Shadow Dust during the fast rhythm section. That solo kicks
