favorite twisted sister album?

Under The Blade followed closely by Stay Hungry. I liked Love Is For Suckers too. Come Out And Play was probably my least favorite but I hate the song Leader Of The Pack so ferociously that it tainted the whole album for me.

The 'Under The Blade' EP!

do you mean the "ruff cuts" e.p. from 1981??

if you dislike the 1985 leader of the pack listen to the 1981 version. its about 100 times better

i'm glad there are so many TS fans on here. on the megadeth forum 99/9% of the people on there think TS and poison play the same kinda music. thats just stupid, twisted sister are obviously metal and poison is not.

btw twisted sister released 2 dvd's this year and have another dvd focusing on 1973-1981 coming out next year

I've been a TS fan since around 83' or 84'. My first album was of course Stay Hungry. I was such a TS freak back in those days till i went to other phases such as motley crue, sabbath and metallica etc.

But anyways my favorite albums are:

1. Can't Stop RnR
2. Stay Hungry
3. Under the Blade
4. Come out and Play (Come out n Play, Twisted Sister, Come out n Play!!! ... love that song and the movie The Warriors)...

I met Dee Snider one time and he is a very nice person in person... And yes it is amazing that they are compared to hair bands like Poison... like you said TS is clearly metal though the younger generation considers them "rock" .... :: rolls eyes:::: .. tryin discussing TS in the General Music Forum to see what i mean lol... Same thing with Quiet Riot and other similar Metal Anthem Metal bands..

agree.
twisted sister
quiet riot
w.a.s.p.

these 3 bands are all metal bands that got lumped into the same category as bands like poison and warrant because of their looks or the fact that all 3 bands eventually tried to follow that trend.

"Under the Blade" and then "You Can't stop Rock and Roll" ... followed closely by "Stay Hungry" for sentimenal reasons and because National Lampoons Animal House was a classic!

All of them (yes, Love Is For Suckers too) are great, but my favourite is Stay Hungry. Perhaps because it was the first one that listened.

I think LifS is quite weak...Stay Hungry remains my fave from TS, followed by You Can't Stop R'N'R and Under The Blade. I was quite happy with Still Hungry too, the new recordings are good.

And the band was great in Quebec City in 2006, opening for Scorpions, in front of 80,000 fans.

i dislike love is for suckers for 1 reason. no one from twisted sister plays on the damn thing. it was a dee snider solo album and the record company forced dee to call it a twisted sister release after he recorded it. reb beach is on guitar, the drums are basically programmed by joe franco but the cymbals and a few fills are live drumming, beau hill is on keyboards, kip winger is on bass on a few tracks and backing vocals. i wish they would properly credit who played on it in the booklet. dee snider provided the information i listed above. i believe he said after it was a complete a few bass and guitar parts were overdubbed by actual members of twisted sister right before it was released
I recall hearing something about that sometime ago. I check out my liner notes and saw Kip was credited for some backup vocals. All Twisted Sister members were named in the booklet but I dont recall any particular credits other than the fact someone I wasnt familiar with, wrote some lyrics for one of the songs.

I really like LiFS, its not a great album but it has some thumping tunes, heavy as hell for life on the sleezeside eg Hot for You.

My favourite TS album is probably Stay Hungry but Under the Blade is right up there. I got alot of love and headbanging memories for You Can't Stop RnR.
