Hmm... Arjen Lucassen. He plays guitar, but the other things he does are incredible.

In recent times, I've been much more inclined to metal vocalists who sing aggressively, and/or in more of a baritone range than always shooting up into the stratosphere. That being said:

Peavy Wagner (Rage)
Jens Carlsson (Persuader/Savage Circus)
Piet Sielck (Iron savior)
Matt Barlow (ex-Iced earth)
Warrel Dane (Nevermore)
Vortex (ex Borknagar/Dimmu Borgir)

As far as classic metal vocalists, Bruce Dickinson is my favorite, easily. I think Dio is great as well, and Halford of course.

As far as keyboardists go, I admire Jens Johansson a lot for his versatility, actually I enjoy his fusion stuff more than his metal stuff. Janne Warman cause he's a great keyboardist and a really cool guy too.

For bassists I like Geddy Lee, Fellipe from Angra is excellent, Victor Wooten.

Drummers: my favorite right now is Mike Terrana from Rage. Like Johansson, I really admire his versatility. I also really dig Thomen Stauch (ex Blind guardian, savage Circus), Jaska (forget how to spell his last name, but he plays in Children of Bodom). Dennis Chambers is the shit too.

edit: Since Bryant mentioned thrash drummers in an earlier post, I have to add: VENTOR from Kreator...holy shit that guy is a machine.
