As the title says... for those who have succumbed to the procrastination-incarnate abomination which is FaceBook, post your favourite apps here. Preferably with descriptions.
Time killers
http://apps.facebook.com/biggestbrain/
Kinda like "Brain Training" from the Nintendo DS but in a simpler 'quick-fix' format. Four simple tests which gradually increase in difficulty and spit out an arbitrary score at the end of it.
http://apps.facebook.com/texas_holdem/
Texas Hold 'Em - the poker variant which finally made the average person realise there's more to poker than 5 Card Draw. It's not all that different from playing on something like PartyPoker but a few little touches like having your FaceBook picture in the playing area and having a means of direct comparison against the performance of your friends make it more fun than most.
http://apps.facebook.com/texttwirl/
If you enjoy doing those word scramble puzzles in the newspaper each day you'll probably enjoy this. It's basically a combination of two popular forms of word scramble games which keeps track of your best scores - and those of your friends.
http://apps.facebook.com/pirates/
Sail the seven seas in search of booty so you can load up with bombs and cannons to destroy enemy (and friend) vessels. It's very basic point-and-click fare on offer but it's still inexplicably addictive.
http://apps.facebook.com/ilike/
This has a range of functionality but the only thing I really pay any attention to is the music quiz where you're given a brief snippet of music and have to answer questions about it. Simple, occasionally frustrating (mostly due to the amount of shit music it covers but it's occasionally metal-friends) but addictive.
Informative Apps
http://apps.facebook.com/facebookshelf/
For those of us who still read actual books, this lets you add a list of books you own or have read, and recommends other books you might enjoy based on a communal rating and review system.
http://apps.facebook.com/visualcdrack/
In a similar vein, this does for music what the aforementioned app does for books. Catalogue your CD collection, receive communally-harvested recommendations for new music, compile a 'wish list' and so forth.
http://apps.facebook.com/listening/
What I'm Listening To - integrates your Last.fm charts into your FaceBook profile.
PS- A place for Transcending Mortality fans to gather and spread the word to other FaceBook denizens
PPS- a slow, painful death to all the fuckers who keep sending "blah blah blah Quiz" invitations
