Hetfield is a really good rhythm guitarist in terms of his technical ability. He only uses downpicking, by the way. Which is fucking nuts.

I voted for Ride. It's the most unique, I'd say. It's more melodic than their other stuff, but also has some of their heaviest moments (DIE! BY MY HAND! I CREEP ACROSS THE LAND! KILLING FIRSTBORN MAN!), Call of Khtulu fucking owns, etc. Also, Fade To Black is a really great song.
