Sorry Dredge bores me I keep trying tunes but yet to find anything , if you have a couple of tunes for me to try i will check them out but from what i have heard so far they put me to sleep

Act II definitely is. Haven't been able to get as much into Act I or Act III.

Act II is utter brilliance. Dredg are terribly brilliant themselves, so it's a difficult comparison to make. The fact that Dredg's lead singer is clearly loosing his voice per their latest record and that it doesn't live up to their previous records doesn't help them out.

2009 was actually a very disappointing year in music, for me. Not one release that I thought was any better than just 'ok. Actually, 2010 is shaping up to be the same. Maybe next year ,.,.

What I kind of liked about 2009 was the diversity. 2010 has mostly seen good power/prog metal albums.

OH, and after exploring more albums from 2009 I can say that Mastodon's Crack the skye easily makes the top 5.

Late here and dunno if it's been mentioned, but I just listened to Big Big Train's Underfall Yard, and it was pretty good. I don't usually like neo-proggy stuff, but it's definitely worth a buy.
