Radishes rule. Maybe you've eaten plastic, watery store-bought ones. Not sure I've ever eaten non-home grown radishes.

I think I've had home grown radishes for Thanksgiving, they just don't appeal to me. Crisp yes, flavorful no. Can anyone actually describe what a radish tastes like? Its got a certain flavorless twang, can't describe it.

Trust me, I'm not a spicy food wimp. I've yet to find a bottle of hot sauce that murdered me. Only one pepper truly kicked my ass, I don't know the name but they are small and bright red, about the size of a dime. It was WAY hotter than a habanero. Here we go!

Zimbabwe bird pepper. This is the only spicy food I will NEVER eat again. Completely kicked my ass, so obviously it has my respect. :Spin:

Bad radishes do taste like nothing, it's like a crisper celery. Good ones are similar to a nice spicy horseradish or sauce, I'm guessing the radish and horseradish are closely related. :loco: In other words spicy to the nasal cavaties like wasabi, not spicy to the tongue.

Hehe this thread rules. So when's RC's culinary section coming up? A section where the hows and what of various tubers and vegetabels are dicussed in depth. I vote Erik as head connoisseur :D

Horseradish does indeed rule, especially when made into that red sauce you eat with shrimp. I shall have to go buy some radishes and try to solve this mystery of whether they really suck ass or if I just have a bad memory.

I'm gonna try some of these peppers NAD is talking about some day, hopefully I'll live to tell about it. :loco:

Went to check out a condo today, in the yard they had a Zimbabwe bird pepper plant, so I snagged five for cooking. Also I just found out The Fat Man (this 400 lb. loud-mouthed friend of mine) just ate one on a dare and threw up all over the place, haha.

haha, vegetables have virtually no caloric value and generally taste like crap. you can get all your vitamins and minerals from a pill.
fruits rule though. mmmm, sssuuuugaarrr

*checks out fruit poll*

true enough. Green onion is another good veggie. FUck, i'm gonna go make some noodles, and throw in some ham, garlic, onion and green onion and probably some peas. and a big pile of curry and tabasco.
